Dear friends,

This week’s chat will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. Central Daylight Savings Time. (That is the same as Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 01:00 GMT/UTC.) Click here to join the chat.

Topic: This week our topic will be ‘Tis the Season. Seasonal changes can affect our moods. Interestingly, we do not all respond the same way to the changes in the seasons. For example, in the Northern Hemisphere, we are in the height of the spring, while residents of the Southern Hemisphere are in the middle of the autumn. To make things more interesting, some of us who are sensitive to seasonal change will react differently to each of these seasons.

Our discussion at this chat will focus on seasonal changes, how they affect our moods, and how we can manage our moods effectively during those times. As always, our topic is a suggested point of departure for discussion. However, we are flexible; if a participant needs to talk about another topic, we will be there to support and talk with him.

Please join us for some good conversation, camaraderie, helpful information, and considerable support from other men who suffer from depression or bipolar disorder. Feel free to invite a friend or two. I hope to see you at the chat.

Please note: The e-mail reminder for this chat erroneously said the chat would be held April 22 and 23. The correct dates are, of course, May 13-14. Sorry for any confusion about this; I copied and pasted text from an earlier announcement, but forgot to revise it.
